The Voice of Kindness
A Biblical Approach on Crisis Intervention
This course, The Voice of Kindness: A Biblical Approach on Crisis Intervention, provides practical and spiritual strategies for supporting those in crisis. The Church has an urgent opportunity to create safe spaces for vulnerability, where struggles can be met with compassion rather than stigma. By integrating the Think 3-2-1 Crisis Intervention Strategy and the BE KIND Model Workshops, this course helps us address mental health needs with a faith-based approach that fosters hope, healing, and connectedness.
If you would like to be a part of promoting this curriculum, please reach out to Dr. Gaviola-Feck. She would be honored to present a 20 minute overview on this important topic to organizations as well as church leadership or representative.
Why Take This Course?
God calls us to be a beacon of hope in a world where despair often feels overwhelming. With limited access to counselors, psychologists, and medical professionals, we must step into the gap and be prepared to offer compassionate, informed intervention. This course will equip you with the skills and knowledge to help those in crisis, both by providing immediate support and by walking alongside them in their journey toward healing.
Together, let’s learn how to be effective, empathetic crisis interventionists and be the voices of kindness to reduce suicide ideation within our communities.
